Well since I go through total stages on this blog ha ha (its fairly neglected) lots probably don't know what is going on over here at this household.
Where to start, where to start....
Maybe I will start with Kade. Those who know Kade know that not that long ago he didn't have a lot of speech. We got referred to a speech therapist where they did an entry screen to see if they could help them. As it was his speech was too limited for them to do much good he needed more help than what they could offer. She mentioned to me of Providence and Renfrew both schools that offer help to children with disabilities. Children with just speech are available to go through actually typical kids are allowed to go there too (typical-kids without some sort of disability) mostly the typical kids are the siblings of kids already enrolled.
My first thought on sending Kade to preschool firstly was that I was at home and I could help him with what he needed. It was kind of break down central around here thinking of Kade going to preschool at age 3. I thought I would just send him to kindergarten and that would be that. Not so much. Anyways our pediatrician also advised that a school like this would be the best bet for Kade. So on the phone I got with the school, they set up a tour and off we went to check out this school. 2 days later Kade was heading off to his first day of school. Wowee. I never would have thought. Reason I am talking so much of school is in 2 weeks Kade will have completed his 1st school year. How does that happen?? So my apprehension about this AMAZING school (Providence) was all for nothing as it really has been the BEST thing for Kade for sure. He first of all loves it there....like loves it! :) Which makes me very happy. Secondly he has improved in his speech, gross and fine motor skills so much. So it turns out as we get going in school that Kade has a lot more delays than what we previously thought. Kade works with a physical, occupational and speech therapist monday - friday every week. It really is an amazing program with amazing teachers, aids and therapists to help Kade be the best he can be. We couldn't ask for better! We love this little man.
So that is Kade
Kianna just had her 2nd birthday. Can we just say ATTITUDE and DRAMA. Ha ha. She is a true girl. Not long before she turned too we were out shopping just her and I. I saw something that was adorable so wanted her to try it on...I actually think it was a pair of shoes....I will never forget what she said to me..."Mom I no like that" I was like EXCUSE ME??????? ha ha. So yah that may give you a little indication of our little drama queen that we love so much. So seems like we were just putting cards away from her 1st birthday and now we are at her 2nd. She is a chatty little thing that I'm quite sure has been part of the reason why Kade is getting to chatty as well. They both play together good....well not so good sometimes (a lot of fighting) but hey at least at the end of the day they generally tell eachother "night and love you" ha ha.
It's so good for me even writing this to realize that all I can remember as I sit here writing is the good times. The bad, fighting moments aren't really coming to mind ha ha. Even if in the moment they seem like they are never going to end.
Anyways this summer doesn't seem to hold much plans for us this year except for convention. So it should be nice to just relax and enjoy the summertime (if it ever comes)
Anyways I think I have done enough of a rant today so I will try and keep it up....Changing the colors to pink always help for me...We will see
Until next time...xoxo
(feels like I just wrote a book...ha ha)

And hes gone again
Wow I can't believe how fast 1 week goes and how slow 2 weeks goes. Also can't believe that everytime my hubby comes home we are crazy crazy busy.
So this time while he was home we had the workers for 3 nights...and while we had them Cody had laser eye surgery. (Must admit I was super nervous for this ) Anyways he was super excited and couldn't wait to get it done. He's been wanting to get it done for so so so long now and finally just did it. He came home with a few popped blood vessels and serious light sensitivity on the drive home but once home slept for a hour and then seemed to be fine. Crazy.
The day he got home we also welcomed a new addition to Cody's sisters family. Kaysen John Severson. Very exciting to now have 2 boys and 2 girls on the Geck side of the family for kiddies. So yes we finally got to go and see him at 4 days old last night so nice to have some newborn snuggles again. Mommy looks fabulous as well :) :)
So now my hubby is gone again....and the 2 week countdown starts again. Next time he comes home we will be off for a family vacation to Mexico. Looking so forward to hot sunny beaches and relaxing with not a care in the world except for hanging out with my little family. Yay for family time with no cooking or cleaning involved.
All for tonight...

Already 2 weeks later
Had a great day today. An old friend, roommate, colleague came over today. I love the friends that you haven't seen in ages and you can pick right up where you left off. Love you sooo much girl! Seeing her definitely brought back some memories and it was amazing to really sit down and realize how much has changed in really not that long of a period. As I am sitting here tonight the thought is running through my head to just embrace every moment. Good or bad....they make us who we are! Of course there is always going to be moments but all happen for a reason.
Looking so forward to seeing my hubby...he comes home on Tuesday. He has been working away for about 3 months now (gone for 2 weeks home for 1 week) and to say its been a walk in the park is a slight understatement. Anyways we make it work and somehow he leaves and then the time passes and he is home again. Busy busy busy that's how I need to stay :) This time when he comes home he has booked himself in for laser eye surgery...to say the least I am a slight bit nervous about it. I mean it is your eyes...he is pretty excited about it though so here's hoping all goes well.
It has been made so real lately to me of just how things can change in a instant. Recently been reading the Larsons blog and just hurting for them so much in this difficult experience. I want to be the best Mom and Wife that I can be and not let it take others going through experiences like that too teach me these lessons.
All for tonight going to go kiss my kiddies and hit the hay! :)

Wow can't believe we are at 11:05 on December 31,2011 soon to be January 1, 2012.
Lots of new years resolutions are going through my head. While reading others blogs I realized that I really want to make blogging a part of that resolution! I love reading others blogs and keeping up on everyone else's lives a little bit...not just through facebook status updates ha ha!
So here is my list of new years resolutions that I am intending to keep...
1. Update my blog :)
2. Play with my kids more :) :)
3. Get closer to god
4. BE MORE ORGANIZED...ahhhhh
5. Get creative...make more projects!
6. Try and keep a cleaner house ( that one probably won't even last past January 1st...ha ha)
7. Take more pictures and keep them organized and backed up.
8. Have more company/playdates
9. Do LOTS of YOGA
So there it is...just a few things I am sure there will be much more as I think more about it.
Anyways here is to the best year yet for everyone.

I'm Back
So not really sure what happened there but for the longest time I couldn't get into my blog. Used the same password to get into it today and it worked. So really need to start updating this thing again. More for me then for anyone else. I feel like this is the way that I wrote down things about our lives, maybe not in huge detail but at least wrote something down.
Lots has changed in the long long time since I posted last.
I will just go with what is going on right now....Had an eye appointment for Kade today to find out that he needs glasses..... call me a bad mom or something but is it bad that I am really really sad about this?!?!?!?!?! I cried on the way home. I'm emotional. Seriously not that big of a deal but it is kind of a big deal for me I must say. Kade has been so delayed in everything....and poor guy has been through a lot...and yes I know glasses really isn't that big of a thing but as his mommy I worry....not even quite sure what I worry about with it....Anyways according to the eye doc he is severally near sighted and his prescription is quite strong. I feel pretty bad that I didn't really notice to much. Anyways enough about that....
Kianna recently started walking...just took off one wednesday night after meeting with her best buddy Ella. Both started walking on the same night. Kianna decided she didn't need to do any of the 1 or 2 step thing she just totally took right off. Took her a couple of weeks to fully walk and now she is going. I haven't seen her crawl in a couple of days now. Why is it that it seems as though the 2nd child just grows up that much quicker than the first. Or maybe its just that we are busier that we don't spend as much time really taking in all the moments like we would like too.
Its amazing that it is the beginning of October with summer ending (well around here it seems like our summer we got in fall but anyways) the calender ending of summer anyway. Have been so enjoying kind of getting back into the groove at our house. Seems like summer is just go, go, go and now I am finally getting things done around this house of mine again :) A couple of weeks ago loved canning 178 pounds of peaches....ok maybe didn't love it but sure will love having them for the winter anyways...what is better than canned peaches...looking at all the jars (all 72 of them) makes me happy! :) :) :)
Not to much of an update really...more just chitchat for my own remembering....
More later!!!! I will be keeping up with it better I PROMISE! :)
Oh yah and a few pics of course from our crazy summer! :)

Finally
Ok so not really sure if anyone even checks my blog anymore considering I totally update once in a blue moon. Sorry about that. Life with two little monkeys is busier than I thought...ha ha. It's awesome though...loving it.
Well where to start. Lots has happened since I last updated.
We went on a trip with both kids to the Ocean Maya...Playa Del Carmen. Amazing. We had so much fun. It was much needed for both Cody and I. The kids were absolutely fantastic. Well how could they not be really when we had nothing but time to completely focus 100% on them. It was amazing...really! I definitely did not think that it was going to be as relaxing as it was...it was great. Who really cares anyways when you are in plus 27 degrees everyday....Thinking of that I want to go back...especially today with our high of -25...sorry but YES i am complaining.

Anyways shortly after we got home was the holidays which were awesome of course...one downside Dad got sick like flu nasty sick on Christmas day and spent most of it in bed. Seriously sooooooo dissapointing....everyone hanging out and getting together eating (all day..ha ha) and he is upstairs in bed. So hopefully next Christmas doesn't bring anyone else sick because that was a serious bummer. All in all though Christmas was fabulous as usual everyone got spoiled...and loved it!
The kids are getting big...Tried the whole potty training thing with Kade and man is he ever NOT READY...ha ha would stand and pee on the floor (15 million times) and not even notice. So we decided that we would wait a little longer...considering his delays I'm not surprised in the least bit. Anyways we will wait a couple of months and give it a go again. (Potty training is NOT FUN...by the way ha ha)
Another great thing at our house....our basement is finally done...after only 3 years of being in construction....seriously! My busy busy hubby finally had time over the summer and promised me it would be done by Christmas...and except for one door that is on order...its complete!!! Its amazing I must say. It's crazy how much time we actually spend down there now. I LOVE IT and Kade loves having a little play area as well.
Anyways enough of my babbling for day....Hope everyone is doing great!

9:45pm...children are SLEEPING!
Wow I am a little excited. Enjoying some me time....right at this moment...which consists of blog surfing and doing little bits around the house such as washing my floor that needs more attention then it gets ha ha. Anyways I was commenting earlier on how my kids just do not enjoy going to bed at all....So I decided tonight that I am going to start trying to put them to bed WAY earlier and see if they get to bed by 10:00pm. Worked for the night. We will see what tomorrow brings.
Enjoyed halloween this year. Haven't dressed up Kade before so that was kind of fun and then of course we had to match the girls because I think that is just toooo cute. So we got them their costumes a while ago..Kade was a dragon and Kianna was a butterfly as well as Ella. To say I was excited was a little bit of a understatement but anyways we all had a lot of fun. Oh yah and I got to eat some candy so that was a great added BONUS....:) Now I need to stop eating candy but it is just oh so yummy!!!!!

Today we went to the zoo....what a beautiful day for it too...it was a whopping 21 degrees when we got home. I don't even know if we got that nice of days in the summer...if we did I missed them! ha ha! Had a great time with friends.
Off to wash the floor and maybe enjoy some pages of my book....

Busy, busy
Sorry this is going to kind of be a whole bunch of posts all at once. Last Friday night we decided to go to the pool with John, Jodie, Sadie, Darren, Molly and Islay. It was a blast other than the fact that Kianna had got her immunizations that day and was a little bit cranky. Anyways it was her first time at the pool so I think she did ok. Kade LOVED it....so much. It was adorable. Definitely enjoy the Airdrie pool a lot....so awesome. Will definitely be making a lot of trips out there this winter.

This is our attempt at getting a picture of the kids...excluding Islay....but the cousins anyways....not so great but hey. At least one is looking...

Kade absolutely loved the little fountain things they had....
Had a great busy week this week. Can't believe it is Monday already (technically since its 12:06am...ha ha) Anyways hubby had a couple of days off so we decided on short notice that we were going to go to West Ed and stay at the Fantasyland hotel...coincidentally enough they have a room called the truck room so we decided to stay there since Kade is in love with anything involving keys and a steering wheel. Off we went. We had a ball and had a personal babysitter...(the truck).

Definitely have been getting inspired by everyone lately...too bad I am not a sewer and really don't do much myself...pay to get it done or pay to buy it rather than make it. Anyways all you crafty people out there are amazing and I wish I was more talented in that area but I definitely am going to try more things....hopefully. I am sure there will be many failed attempts but hey....its worth a try.
Trying to get some pics of the kids together lately and this is what we got. I think they are both pretty cute....and they actually did not turn out that bad...I don't think.

Ahhhhh so stinkin CUTE!!!! :)
Thats it thats all...BED TIME!

September already???
So fall has begun....well actually I think here in Calgary it started a long time ago....arg. Definitely going to need a winter holiday this year. Anyways I am actually enjoying the colder days because it motivates me to get more done around the house. Yay. I have been baking up a storm lately and loving it. Here is what I got up to today...
Had my beautiful little neicey over for some lunch and chats today...love that little girl so much. She is getting so big but not too big. Kianna wore the hat that Ella is wearing when she was first born only for about 2 weeks I think...well maybe it was longer but it sure didn't seem like it was very long and here is little Ella wearing it at 9 weeks old. So adorable....love it. How perfect is she????

Tomorrow is immunizations day for my two little ones....a lot late for Kade and a little late for Kianna...ahhh!! Anyways it should prove to be an interesting night for me. Two in one day I don't know if I am smart or stupid. I guess I will see what tomorrow night brings. Hopefully they are both fine. It will be interesting to see what they both weigh. I know Kade is growing but definitely at the slower toddler rate and Kianna is growing rapidly at the baby stage.....I want her to stay little.

Man how time flies look at how big they both are getting. Ahhh.Kade is loving getting more interactive with his toys and absolutely loves these stacking cups. They are his favorite. Kianna just basically loves being held.
Anyways thats all for today. Now off to make supper and the kids will be up from naps shortly. Got them to sleep at the same time today yay! :) Doesn't happen to often so when it does its quite quiet.
Have a great day everyone! :)

Sorry
Ok so I seriously love, love reading blogs. I am so so terrible at updating my own blog though. Right now my life feels like it is in fast forward. I am not really sure where each day goes. My "new" baby is already going to be 11 weeks this thursday. Just about 3 months. Thats how much my life is in fast forward. Crazy hey? Anyways so I apologize for being so horrible for updating.
So its already August and I am feeling a little bit jipped on the summer since we haven't really had that nice of weather. A lot of rain it seems. Oh yah and on the nice days it seems like I spend it inside cleaning or organizing or whatever. Everyone knows what I am talking about I am sure. This summer has definitely been another summer of many memories.
Had a fabulous convention at Didsbury 1 didn't want it to end. Its so nice to have something great to look forward to every year to give us a little or in my case a big push in the right direction.
My little sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl...which is so exciting. Ella Skye Baker weighing 7 pounds 13 ounces. Love cuddling the little newborn even though I did still kind of think that Kianna was still a newborn only to realize that she is more like a toddler....CRAZY. Loving being an auntie to another little girlie....Realized though how bad am I that I haven't even taken 1 picture of her on my camera....ack really gotta get it out. Mom takes enough pictures that I don't even need to worry about it!!
This past saturday we spent it at a funeral for a great guy who will be greatly missed by many and who touched so many lives. I had the great privilage of knowing Darryl a little bit and what I did know of him was amazing...a very positive uplifting guy. We will miss you Darryl. My heart hurts for his family who are mourning this loss right now. My sister in law picked the hymn leave it in Jesus hands after hearing of his loss and it fit perfectly. God has a great plan for each of our lives and sometimes we don't always know why but I need to learn how to leave everything in his hands.
Anyways Kade is growing so big...he is definitaly getting to be a big boy now and having his own little will...yikes...sometimes its a little scary that he can have such an attitude at such a young age but I realize that I need to just embrace every little stage.....even when I want to pull my hair out. Ha ha!!
Anyways thats all for today...hope everyone is having a great summer and had a great weekend.
A.

Getting into the groove
Wow I am good after not posting for like 3 months and then 2 posts in one week with two children yay me. Well I must say it helps that it hasn't been overally nice because we haven't got too much outside time unfortunately. Anyways hopefully the weather starts being better because its getting a little rediculous. Here is the latest family picture....realized that getting family pictures is next to impossible....kade did not want to look or sit there until grammy brought out the awesome sucker...so out of a ton of pictures 1 turned out....1 picture...ha ha.
Anyways I better go get my little one fed....have a great day.

Life with 2 babies...
Well apparently life is busy considering I haven't actually wrote on here for so long. Anyways I guess I better update now that we have a new addition that is by the way 3 weeks old...Already! WOW! I don't know why 9 months goes so slow when the babies are on the inside and how years go soooooooooooo fast when they are on the outside.
Anyways I love reading birth stories of other people I think it is soooooo amazing but you don't have to read it if you aren't interested. So I started having contractions at 5:30am they weren't anything to major though so I figured I would time them...they were already 5 minutes apart (oh and p.s. the last time I had been at the doctor I was already 4 centimeters dilated ha ha...which no one can actually believe they all thought the baby should be falling out at that point...) Anyways so by 6:30am I tried to have a bath my contractions were still not to major and they were about 3 minutes apart but I didn't really know what to think. So I thought that I would get Cody up and we would drop Kade off at my mom and dads and go to the hospital. Got to Mom and Dads at about 7:00am and started through rush hour traffic to the hospital....I must say I was kind of getting worried that we were going to have a baby in the car but we made it...YAY! :) So we got checked in to the hospital (still might add that the contractions were nothing i couldn't handle) so got admitted and played the waiting game for a hour or so...the nurse came in and noticed that my contractions were coming right after another pretty much so she checked me and i was 10 centimeters dilated. So time to start pushing. She paged the doctor and when the doctor got there she told me to start pushing on my next contraction...so apparently I was having a contraction and I couldn't even feel it. LUCKY ME! :) Anyways so the pushing started....Cody said it was only about 4 pushes and she was out. They had guessed that the baby would be about 7 pounds. She came out weighing 8 pounds 15 ounces. BIG GIRL! :) Anyways she was very pink and healthy very exciting for us after having such a sick baby the first time around. It was great to have Cody actually there for the birth this time I think he was pretty excited to be there as well. Anyways so Kianna Rayne Geck was born on May 27, 2010 @ 9:30am.
Anyways so life has been pretty busy around here with 2 children but we are slowly getting into a routine...well i don't know if you call it a routine but getting to know Kianna and her little routine! :) Loving our little dolls. Anyways thats all for today Kianna will be getting up to eat shortly but will add a few pics of the little dolls.

I hope my heart expands...
Ok so everyone says that when you have baby #2 that your heart expands. I really hope that happens because man I love my little guy and now another one is coming and I am wondering how I am going to love baby #2 as much as I love baby #1. That might sound bad but I have heard most moms to be of 2 babies feel this way. Anyways we have been taking in the sunshine after being very cooped up in the house for the whole winter. Being pregnant through the winter has a bonus because I don't really enjoy winter anyways and then I get to relax and stay inside with my pj's on 24/7. SAWEET! ha ha. I am sure my husband doesn't feel the same way. Anyways here are some pictures from our day at the park the other day with Auntie Shay.

Sleep...what is that anyways?
So I am not really sure what my problem is lately but man oh man can I not sleep. I toss and turn for what feels like the WHOLE night. Is it just me or is it when you are pregnant that you feel as though your bed just isn't quite big enough! Seriously if I had it my way i would be going to by us a king sized bed today. Most nights are spent on the very edge of the bed which is always really fun. My hubby swears that I am the one that takes up all the room and that really he is up all night.....NOT!!!! So there is my vent for the day. Why is it also that I wake up thinking I am almost going to pee my pants only to get to the toilet and have a little tinkle....like come on.... ha ha! Anyways I will laugh about this one day I am sure but as for right now I would really like to be able to have a full nights sleep where I don't wake up once....Not going to happen for a very very long time. I guess I may as well enjoy the moments because they will soon be long in the past.

Monday...
So i know I said that I would post pics after my last blog post but guess what....Never happened! Anyways there will be pictures today. Yay!
Absolutely loves his piano....(Pretty sure there might be snot in his eyebrow...ha ha...what a awesome mommy I am)
Can't believe it is Monday already. Where did the weekend go? Didn't really do to much all weekend but had a good time spending it mostly with family and cleaning house which needs to be done on a ongoing basis as everyone already knows.
Saturday consisted of Cody working from morning until night which is the usual....poor guy works to hard.
Sundays usually consist of us going to meeting in the morning and then going to Mom and Dads for a lunch or maybe more brunch of crepes (YUMMY) love them. Anyways so to change it up a little they came to our house...mom still got to cook though how unfair is that!! Then Cody's mom is in calgary for the week so she is staying with John and Jodie and they all came over for supper as well as Mom and Dad the kids and Granny. It was quite an enjoyable evening. Lots of chatting. I enjoy getting together with everyone on Sundays.
Here we are now at Monday though....wow....Already the day has flown by with a little bit of an eventful middle of the night, early morning trip to Costco well early morning for me being 10:30 ha ha and here we are. (By the way anyone that enjoys Costco sleepers they are on sale this week. $5.99 Can't really go wrong for that.) So now is that time of day where I get to decide what to make for supper and am feeling really uninspired for making meals lately. Anyone that has any delicious meal ideas bring them on.....
Happy Monday...

life....
Man its crazy how much life can change from one day to the next. Loving life over here. My hubby is officially done working the afternoon shift after about 4 weeks of it. Do not enjoy spending every night at home by myself with my little man....but we pulled through thank goodness.
Officially 28 weeks pregnant. How crazy is that? My next appointment with my doctor will be me coming up to 30 weeks. Ahhhh. I can't believe that! It's crazy! I am getting very ready to be done as now is the time when I can't really bend over that well anymore and getting more tired. The 3rd trimester blues. Had my gestational diabetes screen yesterday and the doctors office called today and need to talk to me....my first thought WHAT NOW?! I just really want to have a stress free pregnancy and so far it has been but that is just to good to be true apparently. Anyways we will have to see what they say but can't say that I am not a little stressed as I have a overthinking mind for sure.
Last night had so much fun just playing with my little man....he's been a little bit cranky due to a new tooth coming in but still definately has his laughing moments. Its more through the night that he enjoys waking up 7-8 times just to have a good cry....Poor little guy. Anyways this to shall pass as my mom says ;)
Anyways thought I would post a little something to update since I haven't done that in a while but definately not a whole lot interesting going on right now. Getting very ready for some sunshine.....bring it on. Even though March is said in the past to be the month with lots of snow....I really hope not!!! Anyways I guess I can handle a little bit more if it means that there will be a nice summer in view. Will post some pics tomorrow took some new cute ones just didn't get them off the camera yet and as for right now I just sat down and don't feel like getting up...ha ha!!
All for now...

Clear
Well had Kades appointment today with the lung specialist to see how damaged his lungs are from the strep pnemonia that he had. So after 9 weeks of heavy antibiotics we are officially done. Yay!! The lung doctors no longer want to see Kade as his lungs are healing quite nicely and it doesn't look as though there is any permanent damage. What a relief. So had a chest xray that determined where they went with the treatment and all looks well. So exciting! Now we get to go and see the kidney doctors and see what is going on there if anything so heres crossing our fingers that everything is good there as well. Yay!!!

Where does the time go?
Wow I seriously can't believe how fast time goes once you have a little one to look after. It seems like everyday is just a blur. I am loving everyday though....well mostly everyday ha ha!! :) As of Feb 1st I only have officially 4 months left of pregnancy...that to me is crazy! I remember being pregnant with Kade and it seemed like the days went by so so so slow.....not so much with this one. It won't be long before we are bringing home a pink bundle...so they say!!! :) Very exciting. I can't wait! I don't really know what I am going to do with a little girl but hey I am sure I will figure it out soon enough. Its funny how even when I go shopping right now all that stands out is the boy stuff, baby boy big boy....boy! Ha ha! Anyways that will change soon I am sure. So theres my baby news...It's a Girl!!! Apparently! I was so shocked that I am still not very certain that they are right..ha ha!!!It will be so nice to have one of each even though I thought it would be awesome to have 2 boys as well. Boys are precious little gifts....I LOVE HIM! :) He lights up my everyday even when he is getting into mischeif. Last night Cody was doing some work and I was finishing up the dishes....there was no noise from Kade we all know what that means...TROUBLE!!! So I did find him in the bathroom cupboard (of course) with all of the Q-tips laying everywhere...oh except the couple that he was shoving down his throat! AWESOME!!! It begins! :) Hes still not walking and will be 19 months at the end of this month....hes got a slow start but definately no lack of getting into things ha ha!! The funnest part is when mommy just puts things away to completely destroy it again. Ha ha! Anyways thats my life for today....not much new just a little update on things. Hope everyone has a great day!

These are the best days of our lives
So was talking to Mom and some girls that she used to hang out with while bringing us kids up and one of them mentioned that these days are the best days the ones when our little ones are just that "little". Anyways I realized after having my little man in the hospital for a total of 3 weeks and a very scary 3 weeks i might add that these are the best moments of our lives when our little ones are exploring and learning their surroundings. I LOVE IT....and have realized I take it to much for granted. Anyways he is back up and running...well not literally running but I am not sure I would know what to do if he was actually running because he is busy enough at this stage...ahhh...Going around in circles is a understatement. Its pretty amazing how resiliant these little guys are.
ICU with our little man
One day he was in ICU and a few days later just about back to his normal self. Thank goodness. Anyways it was once again a good eye opener for me to be more appreciative of every little thing...every little moment. Being a mom is the most amazing experience ever....even in the busy moments when I am ready to pull my hair out. Ha ha!!! Anyways every step is a learning curve and it just gets better everyday. Its funny because at every stage he has had I have said that I have loved it...but i love this stage too.....apparently I am just madly in love with my little guy and feel pretty blessed to have him in our lives.

Christmas day with his new toy...he loves...out of the hospital
So now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of #2. Due on May 22,2010. Its crazy I know it might not seem like I am that far along but the time so far has flown.....21 weeks and 3 days....Wow!!! Glad to be done with the morning sickness bit....that part wasn't too fun but now that I am back feeling good life is fabulous. ha ha!! Those who have been sick with pregnancy know what I am talking about! So not totally sure how my little guy is going to react to having another one sharing the attention but hey hopefully they will be good buddies one day! :-)
Baby #2
Anyways thats all my news for the day. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Emotional rollercoaster begins
Well as mentioned on my previous blog post we have sickies at this house. Well turns out we still have a sickie that just won't get better and has since been admitted to the childrens hospital with "bacterial pnemonia". So my little man whom I had thought had hopefully been through his ups and downs with infections coming and going through the first months of his life is hitting yet another visit with the not so happy place. This time around though is a little bit different....he isn't 4 pounds 6 ounces and a brand new baby that just lays still...instead he is a 17 month old that really doesn't understand what all these people that keep coming in and constantly poking and prodding every hour want...and really wishes they would just go away. Oh on top of that the oxygen prongs that now have a place in his little nostrils and the painful i.v that is sitting on his wrist that he thinks he wants to pull out....little does he know he does not want to know what that would feel like. So for right now its touch and go....not really sure what is going to happen through the night. They are checking vitals every hour and they are pretty worried at this point. X-rays came back with a very enflamed right lung and therefore he is working very hard to breathe, rightfully so. So for right now I am really hoping that tonight brings a good one with lots of sleep and medicine that kicks in too bring my bouncing little guy back to his mischief.
